- Be sure to remove any flaking paint, distemper or limewash.
- Dry brush and treat chalky underbound areas with stabilising solution as directed.
When creating dust, wear a mask. When using more than one tin, it's a good idea to mix the two tins to ensure an even colour.
Application
We always recommend preforming a test patch to ensure compatibility, ensure to also follow the instructions found on the packaging.
- Apply only in conditions of 10 degrees celsius or above. Don't apply in damp conditions.
- Stir well before use. Apply generously and evenly by brush or roller.
- For absorbent surfaces, a small amount of clean water can be added to thin the paint, otherwise avoid thinning.
- To ensure you get the most durable finish, apply two coats of Johnstone’s Smooth Masonry.
- Under normal conditions the paint will be touch dry in 1-2 hours. Allow approximately 4-6 hours drying between coats.
